Exploration & Drilling
The experts at our organization's oil exploration division are always looking for and developing new oil fields in the United Arab Emirates. We now have our own division working in the field of research, but in the first year of operation, we employed the capacities of solely contractual businesses for exploration and production.
Exploration
- In addition to the target horizon being Horizon 7 of the Productive Strata (PS), the target well depth is 6400 meters. drilling was finished at a depth of 6505 meters. PS Horizon VIII was breached by the well. Additionally, the well was logged. Potential structures that could contain oil and gas were evaluated, including PS Horizons V and VII (like Pereryv) and VIII (like the Girmaki Sand Horizon). Preparations are currently being made for a successful outcome.
Drilling
TDuring drilling, data can be sent in real time to the Drilling Support Center thanks to the employment of cutting-edge technologies, such as telecommunications technologies.
In order to increase efficiency in the development of high-tech wells, KASB PETROLEUM FZCO Drilling Support Center was founded. Its work is mostly focused on geo-steering technology, which entails getting real-time information on a field's geological model and modifying the well route accordingly.
Rotary steerable systems (RSS)
Through the use of RSS, it is feasible to drill wells with great precision in low-concentration reservoirs (one to two meters thick) and to construct extreme reach wells.
- The construction of High-tech wells require a variety of specialized tools. These days, rotary steerable systems (RSS) are the cornerstone of contemporary, efficient, accurate, and secure drilling.
High-density UniQ seismic
Its work is predominantly based around geo-steering technology, which involves obtaining information on the geological model of a field in real time, with adjustments made to the well trajectory in line with this.
The Drilling Support Center facilitates the construction of almost all complex targets, such as multilateral and ultra-deep wells, heavy-duty wells, and wells with long horizontal sections. Furthermore, all wells engaged in the development of difficult-to-recover hydrocarbon deposits are drilled under the supervision of the Drilling Support Center, which also assists in testing novel drilling methods.
